Chinese Imagery | Thursdays | 29 October 2026 – 20 May 2027 | 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM (CST)** | English + Mandarin
In this core course class you will learn the fundamentals of Saphire® Imagery. This course continues the cycle of basic Imagery courses taught by certified SOI practitioner and teacher, Wendy Henry.
This course will explore Time, Stress and Nature.
“Time is the element in which we exist. We are either borne along with it or drowned by it,” says Joyce Carol Oates. And to hear ourselves speak these days, we are definitely feeling “drowned by it.” Our constant frenetic pace and anxiety are the greatest trigger of stress in our lives. Or is it the other way around? We complain that time is a tyrant compressing our lives and driving us frantic. We feel we have no time to enjoy our children, our friends, a concert or Nature. We feel we have no leisure time even though we objectively have far more than people our ancestors ever enjoyed. How are we to explain this discrepancy between facts and experience?
“Wealth and speed are what the world admires and what everyone aspires to. All kinds of communicative facility are what the civilized world is aiming at in outpacing itself.” One would swear these words were written by one of our contemporaries. In fact, this is Goethe speaking. If we were to be plunged back into his society we moderns would definitely find the pace of Goethe’s world much too slow.
No cars, no planes, no washing machines, TVs, computers or phones, no internet? These were supposed to be saving us time. And yet… The way people explain it to themselves is that time is accelerating. In comparison to what outside factor? Is there a universal clock that can tell us for certain that time is moving fasters or is the experience of time purely subjective? What, in fact, IS time? If it is “the element in which we exist,” like fish in the sea, can we change the weather of its waters? What can we learn from time and from ourselves through its lenses?
We will be examining time in its different spheres: linear, cyclical, eternal, time and space, body time, women’s versus men’s time, Nature’s time, prophetic time, messianic time, historical time, mythical time, memory, time traveling, time and physics, the anatomy of stress, time, capitalism and nature… and more as well as how, buffeted by the illusion of time, we can grab the bull by the horns and become instead masters at handling that most elusive of forces, time itself.
Using techniques from the Kabbalah of Dreaming you will begin to learn and develop) skills in Saphire® Imagery. In each class, you will receive exercises written by Catherine Shainberg, Founder of the School of Images® and by your teacher, Wendy Henry, who will guide you through them. You will be asked what you experienced and you will be given individual guidance, depending on the “necessity of the dream” revealed in your Imagery.
These exercises are powerful, quick, effective, and easy to do. They can be beautiful, fun, surprising, astonishing, delightful and revealing—each student’s experience is unique. You will discover the Self you never knew you had with Saphire® Imagery. This work will guide you to bring forth the truth you have found within and to manifest it in your everyday life.
Fee is $1550 [inclusive of translation] Single and Two-Payment options are available upon registering.
While this is an interactive class, on a limited basis access to a review video of a specific session may be provided upon request.
