REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN: SOI Advanced Morphology | 2025 – 2026 | The Hand and The Greek Gods

$1,450.00

At the School of Images® we approach morphology using our bodies as a guide to the Self. In this process, you will learn to see, without judgment and with great respect, how the shape of a body has a unique story to tell.

For the 2025-2026 School Year, Advanced Morphology students will enjoy a rare opportunity to learn from two gifted teachers in this field!

In the first semester (October – December), SOI founder Catherine Shainberg will lead you through the study of the human hand.

In the second semester (January – May), SOI Senior Teacher Mala Kline will guide you through a new cycle of study of the Greek Gods, beginning with Saturn and Jupiter.

Short and dynamic exercises will help you explore the form and shape of the body types, and more deeply of the human hand. Together with the conceptual work on morphology, you will have a deeper understanding of how images and forms create and are created by us to manifest and transform our lives.

Advanced Morphology | 21 October 2025 – 12 May 2026 | Semester 1 meets on Tuesdays 5:30PM – 7:00PM ET* | Semester 2 meets on Sundays 2:00PM – 3:30PM ET* (adjust for UK, EU, and Asia)

At the School of Images® we approach morphology as the study of forms bodies to guide understanding of the Self.  In this process, you will learn to see, without judgment and with great respect, how the shape of a body has a unique story to tell.  The form of our body can show to us who we truly are, reveal the hidden potential we don’t often see, and inform how to respond to and move harmoniously in the world.

For the 2025-2026 School Year, Advanced Morphology students will enjoy a rare opportunity to learn from two gifted teachers in this field:

In the first semester (October – December), SOI founder Catherine Shainberg will lead you through the study of the human hand. A hand shake, a quick look at the shape, colors, texture of the palm, at the forms of the fingers and nails, can tell us whether hand, face and body work in tandem or in opposition. You can learn a lot about the mind that is mirrored in the palm and fingers, and this is information that completes and refines our general reading of body and face. Hands are connected by shape to the Greek Gods and to their stories. Our hands tell us what these basic mythic characteristics are while also showing us our unfolding personal stories. The two hands can be different, like the two sides of a face. You will study their relationship to each other and to the world, how they give and receive energy, and how they interact with the world. **Please note that in the first semester, Advanced Morphology will meet on Tuesdays from 5:30PM – 7:00PM ET.

In the second semester (January – May), SOI Senior Teacher Mala Kline will guide you through a new cycle of study of the Greek Gods, beginning with Saturn and Jupiter. SOI draws upon the ancient Greek tradition of using the 12 Greek Gods as metaphors and stories allowing us to envision their forms and thus experience their prototype forms as embodied within ourselves. In this course, you will uncover the imaginal techniques and the language of the body to experience the power of imagery and dreaming to unlock creative manifestation and personal transformation. Using dreaming tools and other Saphire® Imagery techniques, you will experience the forms of the god-types of Saturn and Jupiter.  You will discover the unique expression of their  embodiments by asking what it feels like to be inside of them. What does it mean physically, psychologically, mentally and spiritually to be in their specific forms? Turning your inner gaze outwards, you will learn to identify in others the signs of these major prototypes. **Please note that in the second semester, Advanced Morphology will meet on Sundays from 2:00PM – 3:30PM ET.

If you have attended a Morphology | 4 Grids workshop, the foundation of this work, the class will be easier to follow.

At the end of this school year, you will have much information to begin your exploration and use of morphology to understand your inner truth, guide your own life, and make more informed practical choices.  You will gain a deeper  understanding of who you are and, just as importantly, who your neighbor is. You will even find out that there are ways to use these combinations of shapes and forms in practical ways to better communicate with others and harness your basic temperament and nature as you move through all aspects of your life.

Short and dynamic exercises will help you explore the form and shape of the body types, and more deeply of the human hand. Together with the conceptual work on morphology, you will have a deeper understanding of how images and forms create and are created by us to manifest and transform our lives.
