Have you ever found yourself getting angry, resentful or depressed without being able to control your emotional reactions? Do you find yourself feeling physically tense, constricted, out of your skin or about to pounce – for reasons that seem overblown or inexplicable? Have you seen yourself repeating the same negative behaviours over and over again in relationships that take you to the same unproductive outcome?
These are a good sign that you are trapped in reactive emotions rather than living in an expansive, open feeling state. The good news is that there is hope!
We all experience emotions, irrespective of our differences. The rise and fall of these powerful energies is triggered by our encounters in everyday life. Some of them we handle with ease, even nonchalance but others stay with us through the years, like dogged companions lurking next to us, refusing to leave no matter how hard we try to banish, ignore, or think them away with logic.
At SOI we share a basic technique which SOI founder Catherine Shainberg wrote about in her book, Kabbalah and the Power of Dreaming, called The Life Plan. It is a methodology or inner technology if you like, that shows one the path to freeing ourself from the hold of the jagged emotions that bind, constrict and even plague us by “flipping” them – transforming them, really – into feelings.
The pathways of emotion are always constrictive and keep us reactive, but the pathways of feeling are expansive and opening, and instantly clear emotions, allowing us to throw off our reactivity and make the choice instead to remain responsive to others and to life. Like expanding rings on a pond when a stone has been thrown in, feelings wash away the more jagged pathways of emotions to set you on the pathway to true freedom from suffering.
The SOI Life Plan was designed to give you the tools you need to transform your life. We will introduce you directly to the difference between the emotions that bind and feelings that free us through a few simple imagery exercises that will allow you direct experience of this transformation as you “flip” from emotion to feeling.
Repetitive anger, frustration, guilt and resentment are emotions which our bodies experience as tight, constrictive, and unpleasant. Feelings generate an entirely different experience in the body and in our behavior. We cannot be angry or resentful when we are feeling love. There is no place in your body for the two to coexist. Love, joy, serenity, compassion, peace, courage, and trust are all feelings. The Life Plan will help you to transform your emotions into feelings and develop a new pathway to a fulfilling life..
