There comes a moment in every seeker’s life when the longing to understand the world turns inward, like a wave returning to the ocean, its Source.
For me, and for many who have walked the luminous path of imagery and inner seeing, that turning happened the first time I encountered the ancient science of morphology, as transmitted by Catherine Shainberg, founder of the School of Images®.
Morphology — the study of the form and its function — is not simply an esoteric curiosity or a system of classification. It is a doorway. A revelation. A map of the human being in motion, shaped by thought, emotion, experience, and the mysterious forces of inner life. And within this map lies a profound invitation: Know yourself, and the world reshapes around you.
At the heart of this study rests a deceptively simple yet transformative structure: The Four Grids.
The Four Grids derive from the ancient knowledge, experience and transmission of the divine light as taught by Saphire® Imagery. This tradition stems from Isaac the Blind – one of the most profound 13th century Kabalistic sages. The Grids have to do with the primordial numbers: not the numbers as we know in math, but the numbers that came before mathematics even existed, and are the foundation of all creation.
As Catherine teaches, the body is “a living scroll of image and meaning,” constantly reshaping itself reflecting our life stories and subconscious images.
We are reminded again and again that the body is not a prison, but a mirror of the mind, continuously reflecting the choices, fears, desires, and dreams that move within us.
Morphology allows us to read this mirror and then gently polish it to piercing clarity.
Together, this knowledge forms a holistic, compassionate, and revelatory system for understanding ourselves and others. It is not a way to categorize people. It is a sacred path back to our authenticity through non-judgmental personal experience.
We live in a world overflowing with information yet starving for wisdom. We know more facts than any generation before us, and yet we struggle to know ourselves. We chase clarity through external achievements while the inner voice — the one that truly knows — grows faint.
Morphology cuts through the noise.
It teaches us that every feature, every line, every gesture is part of a deeper story waiting to be understood. As we study the Four Grids, we begin to see the ways our fears contract our features, the ways joy opens them, the ways belief shapes posture, and how repeated emotion leaves its imprint.
And then something miraculous happens: We soften. We awaken. We return to ourselves, rediscovering the amazing array of possibilities that are ours for the taking.
Students often tell me that after working with the Four Grids, they feel relief. Permission. A release from the pressure to become someone else. In this practice — rooted in SOI tradition — they discover that authenticity is not something to create, but something to uncover.
Only when you understand yourself, can you be free from reacting. You allow your inner voice and newly found strength to start shaping the new you — not from projection or assumption, but from insight. And with that insight comes harmony, deeper relationships, greater clarity in choice, and a sense of abundance that naturally flows when resistance dissolves.

This master class is not an isolated study. It is the cornerstone of a grander architecture.
The Four Grids form the basis for exploring:
Morphology is not about appearance. It is about meaning and the truth of the living form. It is about the higher perspective — the human being seen through the eyes of wisdom.
As you read this, notice what arises in you.
Do you feel the quiet recognition that you are ready to understand yourself more deeply? Do you sense that the life you long for — more authentic, more aligned, much more pleasant — begins with knowing your own nature? Do you feel the curiosity to see how your face, your form, your gestures reveal the hidden story your soul is trying to tell you? And most importantly: Are you ready to step into a deeper, kinder, more awakened relationship with yourself and the world?
If so, I warmly invite you to join me in the Four Grids Immersion, happening January 8, 9 & 10.
This is the passageway. This is the beginning. And your form — your living, breathing form — already holds the map.
With Love and Light,
Michael
