DreamBirth® is a special and powerful tool to address myriad concerns about conception, pregnancy, birth and parenting. In this course, we explore the experience of the first and second trimesters of pregnancy – both as a physical experience and as an emotional one. We will show how imagery helps us to face and pass through physical challenges (such as nausea and fatigue) as well as inner fears, worries. beliefs, ancestral patterns and demands of parents, partners and siblings that get in the way of a good pregnancy and birth. Our aim is to have you use imagery to co-create the conditions for a positive birth experience.

Description

DreamBirth® | Pregnancy & Birth |  Course 1 |  8 Sessions | Mondays | 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM EDT* | Mar 13 – May 29, 2023

In these eight classes, you will find out how imagery works, how to access our imagery, how to respond to the “necessity of an image” and the importance of practicing imagery oneself. DreamBirth® imparts gifts for all who use it – whether a prospective parent or a practitioner helping parents.

Part 1 –  Four sessions | Imagery to prepare for birth

The main focus of these four sessions is to understand how imagery can help the mother connect with the baby-to-be to create a sense of safety and support  while also preparing clients (and practitioners) in these imagery exercises with a special focus on the problems and issues that arise during the first and second trimesters: Nausea, fatigue, emotional swings and fears, body image and premature contractions. Exercises to prepare for procedures and to deal with fears of mothering will also be presented and practiced.

Part 2 – Four sessions | Imagery to clear the way

In these four classes we will focus on using imagery to promote strong, warm relationships with  partners, parents, one’s other children, friends, work colleagues, doctors, and midwives.  These classes will also use imagery to address ancestral issues, stuck patterns, incorrect thinking and ways to handle emotions that get in the way, including guilt, anger, fear, and lack of self-worth; building optimism and well-being; and dealing with previous difficulties with childbirth.

Participants will receive a  Zoom link prior to the first session
