Imagery, Imagination & Kids

A Workshop for Educators

March 25, 2023

Your dreams and imagery can transform your life and the world around you.  It can do the same with kids.

At SOI, we have for forty years focused on this process in adults. Now,  SOI introduces how Saphire® Imagery can be used in working with children and adolescents and with those who specialize in work with young people – primarily educators and parents.

SOI is offering a special half-day workshop for Imagery & Children for educators on March 25. This four-hour workshop will introduce educators to how imagery and dream work with young people in school settings can transform their lives and meet their real needs for creativity, problem-solving, self-care and well being.

Sheona McEwan, Certified Practitioner, is leading this groundbreaking offering. She is a counselor and special needs educator with extensive international experience in working with children, their parents, and their teachers.  In combination with her advanced training in Saphire® Imagery, she brings unique skills and empathy to the art of healing and inspiring children.

A Special Invitation to Educators

We know how busy educators are and how many opportunities you have to hone your skills and deepen your repertoire for working with children.

This groundbreaking workshop is an invitation to restore creativity, imagination and play in children. And it will do the same for you.

In the increasingly digital world children inhabit, using imagery is an invaluable way for children to know themselves better, develop their inner resources more fully, and live in healthy and beneficial ways in their bodies.

After a brief exploration of the digital impact on children’s innate creativity and ability to focus, the workshop will introduce you to Saphire® Imagery, and offer additional experience with quick, fun and easy imaginal exercises adapted and designed for children.  Drawing upon a few case studies from Sheona’s practice, you will also gain insight about the benefit of using imagery with children in school settings.

Sheona McEwan is an SOI practitioner and teacher as well as a counselor and special needs educator with extensive international experience in working with children, their parents, and their teachers.  She brings unique skills and empathy to the art of healing and inspiring children.
