SOI’s continuation of the series Morphology | Greek Gods III offers the third of four workshops covering the twelve Greek Gods. By the end of the series you will be able to identify each of these three prototypes and recognize how they combine to create in each of us a unique personality.
In this workshop, we explore three “body types” expressed by the three Greek Gods: Mars, the masculine and combative energies; Mercury, the impulsive and quick-moving; and Venus, the feminine and changing energies. By connecting your own experience to the language of the body, what creative manifestations and personal transformations might you unveil?
Catherine Shainberg, Master of Saphire® Imagery and Lucia Dang and Millicent Lai, Saphire® Imagery practitioners, will lead this fascinating online workshop for students practiced in Morphology | Four Grids. This class is open to all qualified students who would like to expand their knowledge of the power of body forms, and discover how they affect our inner and outer experience.
At the School of Images® we approach morphology using our bodies as a guide to the Self. In this process, you will learn to see, without judgment and with great respect, how the shape of a body has a unique story to tell. The form of our body can show to us who we truly are and reveal the hidden potential we don’t often see. Each energy, form and principle expressed by the 12 Greek Gods reveals a new and important facet of our essence and our truth.
SOI draws upon the ancient Greek tradition of using the 12 Greek Gods as metaphors and stories allowing us to envision their forms and thus experience their prototype forms as embodied within ourselves. We use imaginal techniques and the language of the body to experience the power of imagination and dreaming to unlock creative manifestation and personal transformation.
In this workshop, students will:
• Use dreaming tools and other Saphire® Imagery techniques to experience the forms of the gods of Mars, Mercury, and Venus.
• Discover the unique expression of their three embodiments by asking what it feels like to be inside of them. What does it mean physically, psychologically, mentally and spiritually to be in their specific forms?
• Turn our inner gaze outwards, learning to identify in others the signs of these major prototypes.
By the end of the series you will be able to identify each of these prototypes– Mars, Mercury, and Venus –and recognize how they combine to create in each of us a unique personality.
Requirements: Please note that in order to take this course, you must have completed Morphology | Four Grids as a prerequisite.
Registrants will receive a Zoom link prior to the first session. The workshop will be led in English and Mandarin, with Cantonese support as needed.
