Supporting Children Using Guided Imagery | Friday 8 March 2024
Free Workshop | 9:00PM to 10:30PM (Hong Kong Time, GMT + 8) / 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM EDT (US) | Online | in English with Cantonese translation
This free session is for parents, coaches, teachers and counselors of children between the ages of 5-12.
Are you curious about developing another way to communicate with children in your care? Using guided imagery, you can help them grow in understanding their emotions and develop their inner resources and creativity while also improving your communication with them.
In this free talk, Sheona McEwan, SOI Practitioner, will guide us to look at how we can encourage children to listen to their inner wisdom and find their own coping mechanisms to handle difficult emotions and to problem-solve effectively in challenging life situations. Using short, guided imagery exercises you will experience a few exercises that she uses with children. Combining your own insight from the exercises with examples from Sheona’s counseling practice, you will begin to understand how you can use these tools with your children.
Whether you are a dedicated teacher or coach, or you would like to know how you can support your own children as parents, this free talk will give you a toolkit of inspiration and insight.
The free talk will consist of:
- information about guided imagery, and its use with children ages 5 – 12.
- experiencing guided imagery exercises and repairing your own inner images
- Q & A regarding different emotional and behavioural challenges of children
Registrants will receive a Zoom link prior to the first session. The workshop will be led in English with Cantonese translation.
