Description
Tarot will meet each Tuesday from October 25 – December 13, 2022 | 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM EDT (US) | Fall Only
Tarot is a book of images whose pages are reordered with every throw. Each image is a portal opening up a potential future. With each throw, the configuration of images gives us a fresh look at our present moment and the possibilities that our subconscious reveals. It is a powerful tool to help all of us dream in a different way, especially those whose ability to tap their own imagery is nascent.
These throws do not come from a “reader” or any other external source – they come from the inside, from you, giving you a fresh look at your present moment and the possibilities that your subconscious reveals with each throw.
In this course we will complete our study of the Minor Arcana, their numbers and families. We will be dealing with numbers 8, 9 and 10.
What do the numbers mean? Each number is a powerhouse guiding us to a particular focus. Take the number 4. All fours are stabilizers, grounding us in a specific domain: 4 of cups in the emotions, 4 of swords in ideas, 4 of wands in creativity, 4 of pentacles in manifestation.
The number of cards we put down in a tarot configuration will also color our readings and we explore which configuration will best match the questions we’re focusing on.
Our tarot cards and configurations will be read as dreams to which we apply the DreamOpeningâ method unique to SOI, to be reviewed at the beginning of the course.
If you haven’t followed the Major Arcana or the Numbers classes so far, but are familiar with them, you can still join this class.
Tarot lets us see the truth of the matter as we see it, as it resides in each of us and as it is always revealed through inner gazing. It is both a mirror and a magnifier, allowing us to see into ourselves by exploring the imagery in these Tarot decks.
